Ava Halse
Forest Play Camp Leader
Ava brings a grounded presence and a deep enthusiasm for outdoor play to Hudson Forest Play. With a calm and confident energy, Ava loves creating a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and grow. Her quiet leadership and strong listening skills allow her to connect meaningfully with each child, following their lead and honouring their unique ways of engaging with the world.

Born and raised on the West Island, Ava’s appreciation for nature started early—with long hikes, garden adventures, and rainy-day storytelling under the trees. Her natural curiosity and creativity flourished through imaginative games, where she often played the role of teacher, explorer, or storyteller.

Ava is now 18 and finishing her first year at John Abbott CEGEP, and like her cousin Summer, will attend the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton this fall. She is certified in Child Care First Aid & CPR and holds a Babysitting Certificate. Ava spent the last three summer months as a Camp Counsellor at Camp Livingstone. These reflect her commitment to being a responsible and nurturing caregiver. Ava’s interests include journaling, painting, paddling, snowboarding and playing ringette.

As our newest member of Hudson Forest Play, Ava is ready to bring her calm presence to Forest Play! Ava is thrilled to be co-leading the Summer Program in 2025 and can’t wait to share in the joy and wonder of forest play with your children.
