Cleoniki Kesidis
Forest Play Teacher
Cleo is a born tree-hugger who grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania. After trying her hand at many careers, including getting a Master's degree in plant evolution, Cleo has settled in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield as a professional writer and a single mom of one. She teaches skating part-time and is completing her certification as a Forest School Practitioner from the Child and Nature Alliance Canada.
Cleo loves the beautiful forests and water in this area where she has chosen to settle, and extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Kanien:keha'ka people who have cared for this land since time immemorial and to whom this region belongs. She is committed to learning the truth and history of this region and sharing that knowledge -- as well as a deep love and respect for nature -- with the children in her care.
We are thrilled to welcome Cleo to Hudson Forest Play, where her unique perspective will enrich our team and forest play experience!
