Laura Bustamante
Forest Play Teacher
Laura is a passionate educator who brings creativity, heart, and playfulness to everything she does. With a background in childhood development, mental health support, and a B.A. in Therapeutic Recreation, she has supported children and families in schools, community organizations, and healthcare settings. No matter the space, Laura finds meaningful ways to help children connect, imagine, and grow through the power of play.
At Hudson Forest Play, Laura brings her love of the outdoors, storytelling, and hands-on exploration to create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, curious, and empowered. She believes that learning should be joyful and child-led; encouraging big questions, unstructured discovery, and confidence-building experiences.
Outside of the classroom, you’ll find Laura reading fantasy novels, enjoying photography and crafts, or wandering in nature with her toddler. Whether she's guiding a nature walk, weaving a story, or sharing a quiet mindful moment, Laura brings energy, warmth, and joy to every part of the day and loves learning right alongside the children.

She is absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at Hudson Forest Play and looks forward to growing, exploring, and playing with the community.
