Sasha Wang

Forest Play Teacher

Sasha's lifelong love for play and adventure began with childhood imagination and continues today through outdoor explorations with her dog, Indy. Her connection to nature shapes everything she does; believing that the freedom to explore, solve problems, and grow independently is the key to meaningful learning.

With a background in urban planning, Sasha’s career has taken her from tackling the Halifax Housing Crisis in Housing Acceleration to teaching at Dalhousie University, and advocating for community change with the Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia. Her research on Queer Spaces in Halifax and her Honours Thesis on equitable transportation in Human Rights Cities reflect her passion for building inclusive, vibrant communities.

Sasha’s enthusiasm for nurturing children's emotional and skill development shines through in her work. Whether she’s guiding children in forest play or training her dog, she brings a playful spirit, patience, and a deep belief that nature is one of the best teachers we have. Sasha is enthusiastic to join Hudson Forest Play and learn alongside our community.
